
Soror Renita Weathersby was born and raised in the South Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Soror Weathersby is a loving wife to her wonderful husband Brother Keeyon Weathersby of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. and loving mother to Ethan Millhouse. Soror Weathersby has always wanted to make an impact in the communities and decided to pursue her education in social service. Soror Weathersby obtained her Bachelor of Science in Family Individual Development at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. Soror Weathersby began volunteering and interning at several agencies to serve her community and then decided to further her education by obtaining her Master of Arts in Community Counseling at Argosy University.
Soror Weathersby currently in her career is the Director of Homeless and Supportive at Of Color, Inc agency. In this role, Soror Weathersby supervises two housing programs for homeless youth and adults. Along with her current role, Soror Weathersby has also worked with various other populations which includes criminal justice parole, substance abuse treatment counseling services for the youth and adults, parent educator/therapist services, and domestic violence. Serving the community, being the change for the community, and making the impact is a strong passion Soror Weathersby.
With her passion for serving the community and wanting to make an impact, this is what led her to pursue membership with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. Soror Weathersby was initiated into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. April 13th, 2018 through Xi Mu Zeta Markham, IL chapter. Soror Weathersby hit the ground immediately in her Zeta journey where she joined various committees within the chapter, became a committee chair for the domestic violence, appointed Domestic Violence State Coordinator, and served as networking/fundraising chair for NPHC of Chicago during her time with Xi Mu Zeta Markham, IL chapter. Soror Weathersby decided to make a transition to be impactful in the Westside of Chicago area and joined Tau Xi Zeta Forest Park, IL chapter. Soror Weathersby continued to serve and grow within by continuing serving on various communities, appointed Recommendations Coordinator for the State of Illinois, appointed Regional Domestic Violence Coordinator for Great Lakes Region, chartered a NPHC to serve the Westside of Chicago and Suburbs serving as the inaugural Vice-President, and now serving as Tau Xi Zeta Historian executive board member.
Soror Weathersby has made a commitment in wanting to make a difference in the communities with her career and being a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. As the current Historian, her goal is making sure Tau Xi Zeta Forest Park, IL brand is being elevated to the next level. Soror Weathersby will showcase the hard work, dedication, and accomplishments of Tau Xi Zeta chapter.
